“Mapping Oasis follows two travelers as they move through the tidal landscape of Mont Saint-Michel. In their expansive search for connection, they navigate shifting water and sand using a modified sextant to measure their relationship to space, time, and each other. As words from two minds emerge and dissolve, the film unfolds as a poetic exploration of saudade, a feeling of longing in connection, and the shifting distances within connection.”
