MASCS (2021)
MASCS is a wordplay on the word mask. This film pokes fun at the similarity between the word mask, a face covering used during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the word masc, which is a term used to describe masculine lesbians. During this time, “don’t forget to bring your mascs” memes were heavily circulating around the queer side of social media. MASCS brings in representation and inclusivity into a “PSA commercial” for the CDC.
